FT. WORTH, TX – A child was fatally struck by a vehicle on I-820 in west Fort Worth last night.

According to NBC DFW, three children attempted to walk across the interstate near Camp Bowie Boulevard when at least one of them was hit by an oncoming vehicle.

One of the victims, an 11-year-old boy, was killed in the crash. Paramedics treated another for minor injuries at the scene.

The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

All southbound lanes of the freeway were shut down until about 8 p.m.
