EULESS, TX – Police in Euless are trying to track down a driver who left the scene of a crash that left a 13-year-old girl critically injured.
According to WFAA, the teen was walking along Highway 10 near W. Euless Road at about 6:45 p.m. Feb. 20 when she was hit by a Chevrolet pickup truck, then by an SUV.
The victim was taken to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, where she was reported to be in a medically induced coma.
The driver of the pickup contacted Euless police and was said to be cooperating with the investigation. But the second driver left the scene after initially stopping, police said. A search is underway for that driver and the vehicle involved, which was described as a gray, tan or pewter Chevy Tahoe or GMC Yukon.
Anyone with information about the incident was asked to contact Euless police.
