GRAND PRAIRIE, TX – Police in Grand Prairie are investigating a fatal car accident that occurred on Sunday evening.

According to CBS DFW, a 21-year-old driver was behind the wheel of a Ford Passenger on south Great Southwest Parkway when the incident occurred at 8:13 p.m.

Investigators said the driver lost control of the vehicle in the 700 block of the roadway and crashed into a tree. A 15-year-old girl who was a passenger was killed in the wreck.

The driver was injured and hospitalized, but no further details were released on the person’s condition.
