ARLINGTON, TX – Police are investigating a motorcycle crash that claimed the life of a teenager in Arlington Sunday afternoon, reports the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Police officers responded to the scene in the 5000 block of New York Avenue at about 3 p.m. Investigators determined that a 17-year-old lost control of his motorcycle while heading south on New York Avenue, struck a curb and was thrown from the bike. The rider, a Grand Prairie resident, was pronounced dead later at a hospital in Arlington. No one else was injured.
Investigators said the 17-year-old rider’s inexperience may have been a contributing factor in the accident.
