DALLAS, TX –  A 19-year-old is facing charges in connection to a hit-and-run crash on I-20 that left three people injured on Tuesday morning.

According to Fox 4 News, two deputies were getting out of a patrol car during a traffic stop near Mountain Creek Parkway when their vehicle was hit by a pickup truck.

Both deputies were taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.

The driver of the pickup, Joevony Vasquez, attempted to flee on I-20 but was located and taken into custody a short time later.
