SEAGOVILLE, TX – Police said two drivers are under arrest in connection with a fatal crash that occurred August 7 in Kaufman County, WFAA reports.

The incident took place on U.S. 175 in Seagoville, where police said 25-year-old Jose Abel Arriaga Contreras of Dallas was driving a pickup truck the wrong way and crashed into a Toyota sedan head-on at about 1 a.m.  Another pickup truck then slammed into the Toyota, and that pickup driver left the scene.

Three people in the Toyota were killed: 49-year-old Ana Teresa Guzman De Pena, her daughter 23-year-old Jessica Nayeli Pena Guzman, and Pena Guzman’s 2-year-old daughter.

Contreras has been arrested on three counts of manslaughter, with bond set at $1 million on each charge.

The driver of the second pickup truck that hit the victims’ car, 30-year-old James Dylan Gaddis of Crandall turned himself in several days later and has been arrested on a charge of accident involving death.
