FORT WORTH, TX – Police in Fort Worth said two motorists died in a crash that occurred early Sunday morning, according to NBC DFW.
Officers responded to the scene in the 3700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Freeway after the accident was reported shortly after 2 a.m.
A pickup truck and an SUV collided in a wrong-way crash and the two vehicles caught fire, according to police. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names were not immediately released. No other injuries were reported.
The accident, which remains under investigation, forced the closure of all southbound lanes of the freeway.
