MANSFIELD, TX – A scaffolding collapsed onto a vehicle in Mansfield Thursday morning, leaving two people hospitalized.

According to WFAA, it happened at an apartment complex that was under construction in the area of Watson Branch Road and Farm Road 157.

The scaffolding fell onto the vehicle with three people inside at about 7:30 a.m. Firefighters responded to the scene and rescued one person who was trapped inside the vehicle. That person was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with serious injuries.

Another person was transported to Medical City Arlington, though no details were released on the victim’s condition. The third person in the vehicle declined transport.

Investigators are now trying to determine the cause of the accident.
