GRAND PRAIRIE, TX – Police in Grand Prairie said that a car accident that killed a driver earlier this month is under investigation.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the incident took place on Interstate 30 July 12 at about 7:40 p.m.

Police said 21-year-old Keyla Oliva was driving a Toyota eastbound when the car struck a mattress and became disabled. The car was then hit by a second vehicle.

Oliva was seriously injured and transported to an area hospital, and was pronounced dead on July 16. No one else was injured in the crash, and police do not expect to file any charges in the case.
