CALLAHAN CO., TX – A woman from Arlington died following a collision on I-20 Tuesday afternoon.
According to a report by KOXE, the accident took place at about 2:37 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the interstate, about four miles east of Baird.
Troopers with Texas DPS believe 22-year-old Sidney M. Bright lost control of her vehicle for unknown reasons, causing it to slam into the center median.
The vehicle then skidded back across the roadway and crashed into a ditch and rolled several times. It came to rest after striking a tree and began to catch fire.
Bright suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
Investigators are working to establish an official cause at this time.
