FORT WORTH, TX – Police in Fort Worth are investigating a hit-and-run incident that injured a 4-year-old girl on Monday night.

According to NBC DFW, police officers responded to the scene of the accident on the 2500 block of Malvern Trail at about 11 p.m.

Police determined that a car headed west on Malvern Trail hit the young girl, and the driver fled the scene afterwards.

The child was taken to Cook Children’s Medical Center with injuries that were not regarded as life-threatening.

Police later located the vehicle involved and it was impounded. Investigators have identified a possible suspect in the case, but so far there have been no arrests.
