DALLAS, TX – A man was killed last Friday morning following a rollover crash in northeast Dallas, Fox 4 News reports.

The crash took place shortly after 12:15 a.m. within the 900 block of Garland Road, near the intersection with Buckner Boulevard.

Witnesses told police a Chevrolet Silverado was speeding in the southbound lanes of the roadway when the driver swerved to avoid another vehicle. The pickup then crossed into the oncoming lanes and hit several trees before overturning.

The driver, 56-year-old Mark Blanton, was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died a short time later.
