DALLAS, TX – A car accident overnight disrupted transit service for rail commuters in Dallas Monday morning, KDFW reports.

Officials said a driver was speeding in the area of Houston Street and Young Street at about 1 a.m. when the car went over a bridge and landed below in trees next to the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Tracks. The incident was reported to have damaged the electrical lines that provide power to the trains.

Two women who were in the car ran away from the scene and had not yet been located, according to police. There was no word on whether they were injured.

DART passengers were advised to expect delays south of downtown Dallas. Shuttle buses were provided for transport from the EBJ/Union and Victory stations to the 8th and Corinth Station.

DART officials said it could take a week to repair the damage to the overhead lines.
