DALLAS, TX – Police said a collision between a car and a pickup truck in Dallas early Friday morning left four people injured.

According to WFAA, the accident happened in the area of Interstate 20 and Polk Street in the Red Bird section of the city at about 1 a.m.

Deputies with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said a woman driving a car north on Polk Street apparently went through a red light and was struck by a pickup truck headed west on the frontage road.

The woman was hospitalized with critical injuries while three children in her car sustained minor injuries. Police said they were not wearing seat belts.

The pickup truck driver was not injured in the wreck, which shut down the intersection.
