DALLAS, TX – Drivers faced major traffic backups in Dallas Friday morning following a crash on Interstate 20.

According to NBC DFW, the incident happened on I-20 westbound at Lancaster Road sometime before 6 a.m. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

The incident shut down the westbound lanes of I-20, forcing drivers to exit onto the service road. Delays of an estimated two hours were reported, with traffic backing up past Interstate 45.

Drivers were advised to head north on I-45, connect to Loop 12 and get onto I-35 to get around the congestion. The lanes of I-20 west were reopened by 9:30 a.m.
