GRAPEVINE, TX – Police said a woman died after her car was involved in a collision on State Highway 121 in Grapevine Sunday afternoon, reports KDFW.
Investigators said the 44-year-old was driving a gray Jeep east at about 4:15 p.m. when she swerved to enter the ramp onto Interstate 635 eastbound. The Jeep slammed into an unoccupied arrow truck that was parked at the highway split. The Jeep then struck the barrier wall of the ramp.
The driver, a Dallas resident, was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital. Her name was not immediately released. No other injuries were reported.
Police are investigating the cause of the wreck, and said speed is believed to have been a contributing factor.
