DALLAS, TX – Dallas police said a car accident involving an alleged drunk driver left one person dead and several others injured.

NBC DFW reports the incident occurred Sunday night in the area of Great Trinity Forest Way and Jim Miller Road at about 10:50 p.m.

Police said a woman was driving a Ford Crown Victoria westbound at high speed when she crashed into an eastbound Chrysler 300 that was making a turn at the intersection. A front-seat passenger in the Crown Victoria, identified as 21-year-old Unique Brown, suffered fatal injuries. Four passengers in the Chrysler 300 were injured.

The 29-year-old woman driving the Crown Victoria was hospitalized. Once she is released, she is expected to be charged by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault.
