HOWE, TX – The Dallas man responsible for a suspected DWI crash that took the life of a man from Missouri early this morning.

According to KXII, the victim, 28-year-old Jordan Helenkamp, was parked on the shoulder of US-75 when a second vehicle slammed into the rear of his car.

Helenkamp suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The driver of the second vehicle, 20-year-old Guillermo Munoz Garcia, was arrested after showing signs of intoxication at the scene.

A passenger in Munoz Garcia’s vehicle was rushed to a nearby hospital in serious condition. A dog that was also in his vehicle died from injuries sustained in the crash.

This was the 27th DWI arrest in the Texoma area since August 1st.
