RICHARDSON, TX – Police said a bicyclist was fatally struck in Richardson Sunday morning by a man driving under the influence.
According to NBC DFW, the victim was identified as 43-year-old Courtney Terrill.
Police said he was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck while riding his bicycle as both were headed south on the 1100 block of S. Plano Road at about 2:30 a.m. Terrill was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Silverado driver, 28-year-old Jesus Esquivel, was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter. Esquivel remained at the scene after the crash, authorities said.
Richardson police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
