ARLINGTON, TX – A car accident on an exit ramp in Arlington Monday afternoon claimed the life of a driver, police said.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the victim was a 30-year-old woman who was driving a Jeep Wrangler just after 1 p.m. when she lost control of the vehicle. She was coming down a westbound exit ramp from Interstate 20 to Green Oaks Boulevard when her vehicle went off the roadway.

The Jeep rolled over and the driver, who was not wearing her seat belt at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not yet been released.  No one else was in the Jeep.

Wet road conditions may have been a contributing factor in the accident, according to investigators.
