ARLINGTON, TX – Police in Arlington said a driver died following a pickup truck accident shortly after midnight on Tuesday, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
According to investigators, a man was driving a 2003 Toyota Tacoma in the 2900 block of East Abram Street when witnesses said he swerved off the road and crashed into a utility pole. The vehicle rolled multiple times and the 24-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
A 23-year-old man riding in the front seat was ejected from the pickup and hospitalized in serious condition. Police said the passenger was not wearing a seat belt at the time.
Police are continuing their investigation into the wreck, and believe at this time that speed and alcohol were contributing factors.
