MANSFIELD, TX – A driver on U.S. 287 was killed Monday morning after colliding with a concrete barrier, according to WFAA.

The wreck occurred on the 100 block of 0 U.S. 287 Frontage Rd at around 4 a.m.

According to police, the force of impact launched the driver from his vehicle. The car was then struck by an oncoming train.

The driver was pronounced dead when emergency crews arrived at the scene of the accident.

Police have not yet officially released the cause of death. The incident is still under investigation.
