DALLAS, TX – Authorities said a driver was killed after losing control of his vehicle and crashing in Dallas Friday morning.

According to CBS DFW , the incident occurred in the westbound lanes of Highway 175 near Prairie Creek shortly before 4 a.m.

The driver, believed to be about 32 years old, was driving a Lincoln sedan when he hit a concrete wall and the vehicle went into a ditch. The man was taken to Baylor Hospital in critical condition and died a short time later.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said he was not wearing a seat belt at the time. Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the wreck.
