ARLINGTON, TX – Police in Arlington said a driver was killed when his car was involved in a collision with another vehicle on Wednesday morning.
The Dallas Morning News reports the incident took place on West Division Street in the area of Green Oaks Boulevard at about 11 a.m.
According to police, a 29-year-man driving a Mazda 3 lost control of the car in wet road conditions. The car spun out and collided with a Ford F-150 pickup truck that was headed west.
The Mazda driver, identified as Jordan Sullivan of Arlington, was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital. Police said a dog with him in the car also was killed.
The 51-year-old man driving the pickup truck was not seriously injured. Police said he would not face any charges but the crash remains under investigation.
