GRAPEVINE, TX – A driver was killed in a car accident Friday evening on State Highway 121 in Grapevine, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

According to police, the driver of a Honda Civic swerved off the road while driving north near Mustang Drive at about 5:15 p.m. and crashed into an overpass pillar.

The driver, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was in the car at the time.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident. Witnesses told police the driver was not speeding when the incident occurred.
