GARLAND, TX – Police said the driver of a stolen car was involved in a crash in Garland, leaving three people injured.
According to KDFW, the incident began as the driver of a stolen Volkswagen was being followed by undercover officers on the President George Bush Turnpike.
When the driver encountered construction, police said he made a U-turn and ended up going west in the turnpike’s eastbound lanes and then crashed head-on into another vehicle near Firewheel Parkway.
Two men in the Volkswagen and the driver of the second vehicle were hospitalized after the wreck. None of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
