DALLAS, TX – Police said the driver of a pickup truck slammed into a home in Old East Dallas late Wednesday night.
KDFW reports the incident occurred in the vicinity of Ross Avenue and Hall Street at about 11 p.m.
According to police, the driver of the pickup went through a stop sign, knocked down a fence and went across the home’s front lawn. The truck then crashed through several rooms in the house and ended up in the backyard.
The driver suffered serious injuries and was extricated from the vehicle. Investigators believe the driver may have suffered a seizure or another kind of medical emergency prior to the crash.
A man who lives in the house was watching television in a rear bedroom at the time and was not injured. Engineers were on the scene to inspect and evaluate the damage to the house.
