DALLAS, TX – Police in Dallas are searching for the driver responsible for the crash that killed an elderly pedestrian on Friday night.

According to a report by KRLD, the victim was identified as 71-year-old Portia Dickens.

Police said she was hit by an SUV on Esperanza Road near Central Expressway shortly after 9:30 p.m., and died later at an area hospital. The driver involved kept going north on Esperanza after the collision and was last seen headed east on Midpark.

Dallas police released photos of the vehicle they are looking for, which is said to resemble a Chevy Suburban and has one headlight.
