FORT WORTH, TX – Police were on the scene of a railroad accident that killed a man in east Fort Worth Thursday afternoon.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the victim was hit by a train while standing on a railroad bridge over East Loop 820 near Cravens Road at about 4:50 p.m.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not immediately released. There was no word on why he was on the bridge at the time.
