ARLINGTON, TX – Police in Arlington said a driver died of injuries that were suffered in a car accident on April 26, reports the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Investigators determined that 25-year-old Jase Lyle was driving a Nissan Juke on S. Cooper Street at about 3:25 p.m. when he tried to make a U-turn into the roadway’s northbound lanes.
The Juke collided with a northbound Dodge Charger. Lyle passed away Wednesday, while another 25-year-old man who was his passenger remains hospitalized.
A 16-year-old girl who was driving the Dodge sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. Four people in the car with her did not need to be hospitalized.
Police said Lyle caused the accident by making a U-turn when it was not safe for him to do so. The Dodge driver will not face any charges.
