DALLAS, TX – Police said they have arrested a driver who struck and killed a man in Northwest Dallas on Sunday night.

According to WFAA, the victim was a man who was pushing a woman in a wheelchair in the area of Forest Lane and Cromwell Drive at about 9:30 p.m.

The man and woman were both hit by a white Chevrolet Malibu that was going east on Forest Lane. The man suffered fatal injuries, while the woman was critically injured and rushed to an area hospital.

Police said the driver involved fled the scene after the accident but was later apprehended.  The suspect, who was not publicly identified, has been charged with accident causing death and serious bodily injury.
