FORT WORTH, TX – Police in Fort Worth are investigating after a man in a wheelchair was fatally struck Friday morning by a driver who left the scene.
Police tweeted details of the incident and a photo of the vehicle they are looking for.
According to investigators, the victim was crossing at the intersection of East Seminary Drive and Evans Avenue near I-35W when he was struck at about 6:45 a.m. The driver left the scene without stopping to help, police said. The man died after being taken to an area hospital.
The vehicle involved was described as a silver-colored sedan. Anyone with information was asked to contact Fort Worth police.
