ARLINGTON, TX – A man, a pregnant woman, and her child were killed in a suspected DUI crash in South Arlington on Saturday.

According to NBC DFW, one driver pulled over to assist another on SH-360 near Ragland Road at about 7:34 p.m.

Moments after the man stopped, an SUV slammed into the back of the second vehicle, causing a chain-reaction.

The pregnant woman in the first vehicle was rushed to a local hospital. Unfortunately, neither her nor her child survived.

The man who stopped to help, was pinned under the SUV and suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Police say he was the father of the child that died.

The driver of the SUV immediately fled the scene, but was located a short time later. He was arrested and charged with three counts of intoxication manslaughter and three counts of failing to stop and render aid in an accident involving death.
