DALLAS, TX – Police say a collision in the Lakewood Heights area of Dallas early Sunday morning killed a man riding a motorcycle.

KDFW reports the incident took place in the area of Skillman Street and Richmond Avenue at about 4 a.m.

Investigators determined that a man riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle crashed into the back of a Toyota.  It happened after the Toyota driver had stopped at a stop sign, failed to yield the right of way and attempted to continue onto Velasco Avenue, authorities said.

The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene.  His name was not immediately released. The Toyota driver sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.
