ARLINGTON, TX – A woman was killed when her motorcycle was involved in an accident in Arlington Thursday morning, police said.

CBS DFW reports the incident occurred on an Interstate 20 service road leading from Kennedale to Arlington shortly after 10 a.m.

Police said the driver of an SUV was making a U-turn under I-20 from the westbound service road to the eastbound service road when it was struck from behind by an eastbound motorcycle. The 48-year-old woman driving the motorcycle was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital. Her name was not released.

Witnesses said the motorcyclist was going at a high rate of speed when the crash occurred.
