ARLINGTON, TX – Police said a multi-vehicle crash in Arlington Friday evening killed a motorcycle rider, NBC DFW reports.

The incident took place in the area of Arkansas Lane and Center Street, where officers arrived at the scene at about 6 p.m.

According to investigators, a motorcyclist crashed into a Dodge Charger as the car’s driver made a left at the intersection.  Both the motorcycle and the Charger then collided with a Ford Fusion that had stopped at the traffic light.  The motorcycle also hit a Toyota Corolla at the light.

The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and was pronounced dead at the scene.  No other injuries were reported.  Speed was believed to have been a contributing factor in the accident.
