DALLAS, TX – Police said three vehicles were involved in a deadly crash in Dallas early Sunday morning,
NBC DFW reports.
The incident occurred along State Highway 121 eastbound at about 2:45 a.m. The Dallas Police Department said the driver of a Ford Escape SUV struck the back of a Ford F-150 pickup truck, causing the pickup to go off the road and flip over. After hitting the pickup, the driver of the Escape lost control and crossed the center median. The Escape then flipped and slid down the westbound side of Highway 121, where it was hit by a Dodge Ram pickup truck.
The driver of the F-150 was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Escape was also ejected and was hospitalized in serious condition. The driver of the Dodge Ram was taken to a hospital but the person’s condition was not released. None of the drivers were wearing their seat belts, police said.
An investigation is continuing into the cause of the accident.
