FORT WORTH, TX – Police responded to a fatal pedestrian accident in Fort Worth early Sunday morning, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

The incident occurred in the area of Interstate 35W and East Allen Avenue, and was reported sometime before 4:30 a.m.

Investigators believe the victim’s vehicle had become disabled, and they were hit by a passing motorist on the highway.  The person, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
