DALLAS, TX –  A pedestrian was killed last night after being hit by a car in south Dallas, WFAA reports.

The unidentified victim was attempting to cross diagonally in the 8500 block of Lancaster Road near Cherry Valley Blvd. when they were hit by a vehicle that was heading southeast.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by Dallas Fire-Rescue. Their identity is being withheld pending further investigation.

It is unclear if the driver involved will face any charges at this time.
