DALLAS, TX – Police in Dallas are investigating a fatal accident in which a pedestrian was struck by a bus late Thursday night.
KDFW reports the incident happened on the Dallas North Tollway near the Maple Avenue bridge in Oak Lawn shortly before midnight.
Police said a person on foot in the roadway was hit by a Dallas Area Rapid Transit bus. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. It was not yet clear why the person was on the tollway. No one on the bus was injured.
The tollway’s northbound lanes were shut down to traffic for the crash investigation.
