FORT WORTH, TX – A search is underway for the driver who struck and killed a pedestrian in East Fort Worth Wednesday morning, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Police said a man who ran onto Interstate 820 was struck by a black truck near Meadowbrook Drive at about 6:45 a.m. The driver fled the scene after the incident. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
Investigators are asking for the public’s help in tracking down the vehicle, which had oversized tires. Anyone with information was asked to contact Fort Worth Police.
The northbound lanes of Interstate 820 were shut down for the crash investigation and traffic was detoured onto Brentwood Stair Road.
