FORT WORTH, TX – A 22-year-old man is facing charges for a fatal car accident on Interstate 20 in Fort Worth last month, according to CBS DFW.

The crash happened on March 15 on I-20 west near McCart Avenue at about 11 p.m. Police said Bryce Abernathy was driving a Camaro at over twice the speed limit when he slammed into an SUV which then caught fire. The driver, 19-year-old Kyree Smallwood, was killed while two passengers in the SUV were injured.

Investigators determined that Abernathy was driving 157 miles per hour in a 70 miles per hour zone at the time.  He has been charged with manslaughter and aggravated assault.
