GRAPEVINE, TX – A single-vehicle collision took the life of a 25-year-old man early Tuesday morning, reports NBC DFW.
Investigators believe the driver crashed into both a pillar and a road sign at about 2:45 a.m., after failing to negotiate a curve near the interchange of Texas 121 and FM 2499.
First responders arrived on the scene and found that the crash had crushed the vehicle. They then approached the driver’s side window and broke it in order to check on the driver, who was unresponsive and pinned in place by the wreckage.
First responders pronounced him dead at the scene of the accident.
Police closed the exit from westbound I-635 to northbound SH-121 in order to investigate the crash.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
