FORT WORTH, TX – Police in Fort Worth said a man believed to have been driving under the influence caused a crash that left three women hospitalized last week.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the accident happened in the area of Mansfield Highway and Wichita Street Monday afternoon.

Fort Worth police said the suspected drunk driver may have gone through multiple red lights while going at high speed when he crashed into another vehicle at about 4 p.m.  The three women were transported to an area hospital with critical injuries.

The suspect, who was hospitalized in serious condition, is facing charges of intoxication assault.
