CARROLLTON, TX – Police said a sport utility vehicle with five high school students inside was involved in an accident in Carrollton on Wednesday.
According to a report by WFAA, the driver of the SUV lost control while heading west on Parker Road near Josey Lane at about 2 p.m.
The car went airborne and plunged into a creek where it landed upside down. Three teenagers who were back seat passengers were taken to the hospital. One was listed in critical condition. The driver and a passenger in the front seat were not injured.
Authorities said the five occupants were all 17-year-old students from Hebron High School in the Lewisville Independent School District. An investigation is underway into what caused the accident.
