WAXAHACHIE, TX – A crash near 122 Shoreside trail took the life of a 16-year-old girl and injured 5 other teens on Sunday afternoon, according to WFAA.

The 16-year-old was driving a Honda Accord on Shoreside Trail when she failed to negotiate a curve and went off the road and into a culvert.

At around 2:30 p.m., first responders were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of the incident. When they arrived, they pronounced the teen driver dead and hospitalized the other five teens in serious condition.

The Texas Department of Public Safety will not release the names of the teen passengers injured in the crash because they are juveniles.
