DALLAS, TX – A driver was arrested in connection with a fatal pedestrian accident in Northwest Dallas Sunday morning, reports WFAA.

Police said a man was struck and killed by a vehicle driven by a 29-year-old woman, who has now been charged with intoxication manslaughter.

The woman was driving a Chevrolet Malibu when she hit the pedestrian at about 12:30 a.m. as he stood at a crosswalk sign in the area of W. Northwest Highway and Technology Boulevard, according to investigators.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital.  The identities of the driver and the victim were not immediately released.
