ARLINGTON, TX – A pedestrian was killed on West Interstate 20 in Arlington in a crash caused by a hit-and-run driver, police said.

According to NBC DFW, Arlington police officers responded to the scene Sunday morning at about 8:42 a.m. and found a woman dead on the highway. Her name was not released.

It was determined that she had been hit by multiple vehicles as she walked across I-20. Investigators said the driver who initially hit the woman kept going without stopping to help. All westbound lanes of I-20 were shut down for about three hours for the crash investigation.

Anyone with further information was asked to contact Arlington police or Tarrant County Crime Stoppers.
