FORT WORTH, TX – Police said a fleeing driver caused a fatal car wreck in Fort Worth on Tuesday night.
According to KDFW, the incident began when Euless police officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on two men in a black car.
Police said the suspects sped away into Fort Worth, went through a red light at Euless South Main Street and crashed into a car at the intersection before hitting a utility pole.
The driver of the car that was struck, a woman in her 20s, suffered fatal injuries. Her identity was not released. One man in the suspects’ car was taken into custody while trying to flee the scene on foot, while the other man was injured and stayed in the car.
Both men were then taken to an area hospital. A relative of the victim said she was on her way home from work at the time of the crash.
