DALLAS, TX – A woman was rescued from her vehicle after a crash in Dallas late Tuesday night, KDFW reports.

The incident occurred on Interstate 30 near Jim Miller Road. According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, the woman’s truck stalled out on the roadway and she began calling for help. At that point her vehicle was struck by two other vehicles and caught fire.

A man driving by the scene was able to extricate the woman from the truck before it was totally engulfed by the flames, and she was transported to an area hospital. She was expected to recover, according to the report. The other drivers involved in the wreck were not injured.

The name of the man who saved her was not immediately released. He was initially identified as an off-duty police officer but authorities later said that was not the case.
